EDIT

Plus d'informations sur la sortie de ce titre par Kathy Sledge feat. ElectraQueens.

August 12th, 2022 (Nashville, TN): Produced by the legendary Joe “The Butcher” Nicolo in collaboration with Bobby Eli, Kathy Sledge comes together with The ElectraQueens to craft a stellar cover of The Stylistics“You Are Everything,” with 100% of proceeds going to the Sound Mind Network.

Kathy Sledge’s cover of “You Are Everything” by the Stylistics is nothing short of amazing. But, are we surprised? It’s Kathy Sledge we’re talking about here! Sledge’s soothing vocals truly emulate the sincere meaning of the chorus lyrics “You are everything/and everything is you.” Sledge will put you in such a trance that you might find yourself thinking, “Wait, does she mean me? Am I everything to Kathy Sledge?” It’s okay, it happens to the best of us.

The addition of background vocals by the lovely ElectraQueens took the song to a new level. With harmonic blends like that, who wouldn’t want to have this song on loop? This is the collaboration that we never knew we needed, but we’re so glad we got.

Joe Nicolo and Bobby Eli produced the track, and their particular touch and experience really shines through in the clean end product. Covers are a great way to bring old tracks back to life, and Kathy Sledge really proves that she can still breathe that life into everything she touches. The arrangement of this track also pays homage to the original while bringing the instrumental into more modern musical sensibilities. The cover truly highlights the talents of all parties involved.
