The Split est un film pré-Blaxploitation de 1968, bénéficiant d'un casting haut en couleur incluant Jim Brown, Diahann Caroll, Warren Oates, Gene Hackman et Ernest Borgnine.
Totalement inédite à l'époque, la terrible B.O. signée Quincy Jones a été exhumée récemment par FSM. Ce disque contient notamment la bombe "Celebration" chantée par John Wesley et la ballade "It's Just A Game Of Love" d'Arthur Prysock, thème romantique également repris par le duo Clydie King & Billy Preston.
