Présentation
Groupe féminin, formé en 1962, dont le premier nom de scène était The Gypsies (Lestine Johnson et les soeurs Ernestine Pearce, Shirley Pearce et Betty Pearce).
Première signature en 1964, des Gypsies avec le label OLD TOWN RECORDS et premier single "Hey There, Hey There" (Old Town 1168).
Le 45T suivant rencontrera un succès plus important : "Jerk It" (Old Town 1180).
Lestine Johnson quitte le groupe est est remplacée par Viola Billups.
1966 et le groupe devient The Flirtations et passage chez JOSIE RECORDS et sortie cette même année de "Change My Darkness Into Light" / "Natural Born Lover" (Josie 45-956, 1966).
Départ pour un autre label, FESTIVAL RECORDS et le single "Stronger Than Her Love" / "Settle Down" (Festival F-705, 1967).
Le titre de la face A figure sur la compile That Driving Beat (Soul Supply Records LPSS 101).
Betty Pearce quitte le groupe qui devient un trio qui passera par l'Europe.
Le premier album, Nothing But A Heartache, sera précédé de quelques 45T que l'on retrouve sur l'opus :
"Someone Out There" / "How Can You Tell Me?" (Deram DM 195, 1968) 
"Nothing But A Heartache" / "Christmas Time Is Here Again" (Deram DM 216, 1968) 
Sur la face B de certains pressages américains figurent le titre "How Can You Tell Me?".
Un bon retour à Silverfox et ce tout en douceur et charme.
