Ce soundtrack flower power de 1970 qui ravira à coup sur les fans de mélopées trippantes recèle la grosse pépite jazz funk survitaminée que l'on ne s'attendait pas forcément à trouver sur un disque dans son ensemble plutôt orienté pop psychédélique. Le punchy morceau en question "Maxie" (malheureusement non disponible en écoute sur le web) semble tout droit sorti d'un album de Charles Earland période Fritz The Cat ou Dynamite Brothers.

Moins catchy, "Elliot's Pad" est l'autre intermède groovy de ce LP peace & love :

Thanks! Si l'autre morceau que tu n'as pas pu trouver sur YouTube est meilleur que celui que tu nous fait écouter le LP à coup sûr vaut qu'on s'y intéresse parce que Elliot's Pad est fort sympathique.

Oui, "Maxie", le titre manquant est encore bien plus groovy : un gros morceau jazz funk, je confirme.
Par contre tout le reste de l'album est orienté hippie.

A very cool soundtrack for an obscure film – with trippy post-psych songs by Boston underground rock combos Bead Game and Glass Bottle – along with some wild instrumentation and unpredictably changing arrangements from jazzy adventurer Don Sebesky! The rock songs have psych elements and some especially groovy vocals, but they also have a tighter, punchier vibe overall than the psychedelic sounds of the preceding years. Really cool stuff that works very well as a stand-alone record – though with plenty of period cult cinematic touches!
